Gringa Consulting

Gringa Consulting was founded in 2014 by me, Alyssa Bonelli, an American girl or “gringa” on a mission to help gringos master Spanish! The Gringa Consulting teaching style works best for those who are ambitious and have a pressing need to learn the language. I come from a scholastic and experiential Spanish education background spanning 20 years. I understand how English speakers can best develop an individualized understanding of Hispanic cultures and dialects, as well as the importance of the often-absent human element in language learning.

I am a University of Denver graduate with majors in International Business and Spanish, and was cum laude as well as a college volleyball player. I worked in Sales before quitting my career, spending six weeks in South America, and later switching to startup company called the ShareLingo Project. There I spoke Spanish daily and better understood the need for quality Spanish lessons in Denver. This made me so happy to finally be using my degrees to help others master the language. I recently worked as a Manager of Operations and set up a bilingual call center in Lima, Peru for WorldRemit, a UK based money transfer company. Now, I am teaching Spanish full-time and loving every minute of it! I am a world traveler who loves people and is happiest when in a session with a student, sipping on a hot cup of coffee, playing volleyball, or lost in a foreign country.

Gringa Consulting, since beginning its first Spanish tutoring lesson in November 2014, now has dozens of clients with lessons being held everywhere from boardrooms to coffee shops to a student’s couch. Clientele includes students ages 4–64, and includes companies in industries such as Law, Construction and Education.
